At Miura Suisan, we offer a wide variety of fresh seafood, including fish caught that day, live fish delivered to you while still alive, and ultra-chilled fish that are specially prepared to lock in the flavor. We do not stock ultra-chilled fish in-store, but if you contact us by phone or email, we can have it ready for you.

Live abalone

Since our founding, we have been handling abalone as a specialty ingredient.

Since shipping to major fish markets throughout the country, we have been able to purchase abalone from all over the country, including Izu, thanks to our many years of experience, so we can purchase abalone in the best condition at that time. Basically, natural abalone are classified into four types: black abalone, red abalone, Madaka abalone, and Ezo abalone. However, in recent years, the amount of abalone landed has decreased due to rising seawater temperatures, so farmed Ezo abalone has become the mainstream. Most of the concerns of customers who consult with us are “They were dead when they arrived,” “They were not lively,” and “They did not live even when released into the aquarium.” This is absolutely not the case with our abalone. We keep them alive in our own 100-ton aquarium, which pumps seawater directly from the sea, so we can deliver lively abalone when they arrive at our customers’ homes. We feel that this is our responsibility.

Shizuoka Prefecture is one of the leading lobster catch areas in Japan.
During the bumper catch season in autumn, many lobsters are landed at Ito Fish Market.
Our company has partnered with the Ito Fisheries Association and is equipped with a 1,500-ton tank filled with free-flowing seawater, so we stock lively lobsters all year round. Furthermore, because we feed them every day, they stay fat and never lose weight. The 1,500-ton tank is located in the outer bay, so clean seawater is always pumped in, and there is no change in the environment. You can order with peace of mind anytime. That is the kind of specialty store we aim to be.

Live Turban Shell

Izu turban shells are famous throughout the country for their high quality and excellent reputation. In particular, the turban shells caught in Futo and Yahatano areas, famous for Jogasaki Coast, have firm corners and good meat, so they are highly rated at Tsukiji Market and restaurants. Turban shells weighing more than 500g each are so big that they are called “Kama Turban Shells” (pot turban shells). Not only are they impressive, but they are also well-received for their firm meat, which is due to them being raised in rough seas. We are able to purchase high-quality turban shells from all over the country, so we never run out of stock almost all year round. Like abalone, they are kept alive in tanks pumped from the sea, so they are always kept alive in an environment that is unchanged from nature. Please enjoy Izu’s “Kama Turban Shells”.

Today's Fish Market: Fresh Fish Box

Freshly caught fish from Ito Port in Izu will be delivered in a box in a very fresh state. There are more than three types of fish, ranging from commonly available fish to rare fish unique to Ito Bay, Izu, so everyone can enjoy them.
You cannot specify the type of fish contained, and no processing is done. The fish will be delivered in the state they were caught.

Kyokurei series

Miura Suisan’s ultra-chilled series is vacuum-packed without compromising the freshness of the fish, and frozen in alcohol at -24℃. It freezes at a speed about 20 times faster than a normal freezer. In addition, the water inside the cells is frozen almost in its original form, so you can enjoy the same taste as if it were freshly caught. Furthermore, parasites and bacteria are killed by the freezing process, so it can be safely served raw.
